Carl Barks' most famous comic book story is probably the square-egg adventure, "Lost in the Andes," first published in Donald Duck Comics Four Color #223 in 1949 (reprinted in Gladstone's Donald Duck Adventures #3, February, 1988). The town where the Square People live was called "Plain Awful" by an American visitor in the 1860's...and the name stuck. When Carl Barks decided to reprise the Duck family travels to South America, this time bringing Uncle Scrooge along, Gladstone commissioned our current. Duck artist, Don Rosa, to write a sequel by that name. The new comic book (Donald Duck Adventures #12) and the litho are scheduled for simultaneous release. Everyone who orders the print will also receive a copy of this comic book and Gladstone's reprint of Barks' original "Lost in the Andes!". .
